Bird and Diz are gone but giants still walk among us. Bassist, Buddhist, composer and visionary Buster Williams is one of those giants.

Imagine hanging out with Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie, hearing them jam together, trading riffs, then riffing with words and trading stories. Bird and Diz are gone, but giants still walk among us. One of those giants is Buster Williams. Buster has played with everyone, from Sarah Vaughan to Miles Davis, Nancy Wilson, Art Blakey, Rahsaan Roland Kirk and on. Join Buster as he tells stories about his life and the lives of other great jazz musicians, and is joined by, and plays with, some of the greatest living contributors to this music – Benny Golson, Herbie Hancock, Rufus Reid, Christian McBride, Larry Willis, Carmen Lundy, Kenny Barron and Lenny White.

Buster Williams Bass to Infinity is a totality. It is a film about a great contributor to America’s greatest art form, and many other greats – those mentioned above, as well as Monk, Trane, Paul Chambers... All of these artists' stories makeup that thing we call Jazz, and each individual, each story is intertwined to make up a whole.

We have already shot the entirety of this film and the editing is in progress. We do however need to raise money for a good amount of editing to come. This is what your support dollars will go toward - editing this film. These stories need to be told, not only because they are great cultural contributions, but because they are beautiful and cool and fun and compelling. We think you will agree, and hope that you will join us in proliferating this art form!

For those of you have contributed to the Rahsaan Roland Kirk project - Thank You. You know and can attest to the fact that I am a finisher and will get it done. And it will be beautiful. (...and it may take some time...) But cross the finish line - we will and always do. For those who have contributed to Sunset and Mockingbird - the Junior Mance film - Thank You as well! (and if you contributed to both then I am doubly grateful!) Sunset and the Mockingbird is still in production, and we will get there. Rest assured.
