VERONIKA RODRIGUEZ
After conservatoire studies in classical singing, Veronika Rodriguez discovered Jazz at the age of 16, by listening to Ella Fitzgerald.
Being a fan of June Christy, Chris Connor..., she is also influenced by variety and jazz singers from the 50's: Doris Day, Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee... Veronika met the big band conductor Jean-Philippe Vidal and became the lead vocalist of the Côte Ouest Big Band.
They created together a number of performances including « For the Love of Ella », portrait of Ella Fitzgerald, which was a huge succes not only for specialists of Ella Fitzgerald, but for the grand public as well.
After a U.S. Tour, Veronika introduced a vocal quartet named The Swing Voices, following the tradition of Modernaires, Pied Pipers, Four Freshmen, Manhatan Transfer for the recording of “Radio Days”.
She recorded many albums, including « Isn't it Romantic ? » which received the award for the Best Foreign Jazz Vocal Recording. She also received the “Golden Microphone” from the International Meetings of Jazz in Hambourg and the “Best Vocal Jazz Performance” award in New York, 2005. She was discovered by the brazilian guitarist Baden Powell who performed with her in concert.
She regulary performs at Jazz festivals with the quintet or the Côte Ouest Big Band.

Carlos Jimenez
Carlos Jimenez, a Puerto Rican Latin Jazz flautist, composer, arranger, and producer born in New York. Jimenez started on trumpet at age 4, then he switch to flute at age 10. Jimenez' first music teacher was Mr. Pablo Leon at the Francisco Zayas Santana’s High School in Villalba, Puerto Rico.
After arriving to New York in 1995, Jimenez studied flute with; Mitch Frohman, Mario Rivera, Bobby Porcelli, Dave Valentin, Vinny Rikitelli, and Dave Fenucane at the Westchester Conservatory of Music. Jimenez then studied piano with the great; Hilton Ruiz, Sonny Bravo, Mike Longo, and Barry Harris., When Jimenez met, pianist composer, arranger, conductor, and once Dizzy Gilespie's musical director, Mr. Mike Longo, his piano teacher, was when Mr. Jimenez' theory and musical ideas expanded. Hilton Ruiz has performed with Jimenez and Jimenez with Hilton's Latin Jazz All Stars.
January 25, 2005 Jimenez debuted his first Latin Jazz production with Legendary Afro-Cuban pianist, Hilton Ruiz.. The CD was titled, "Arriving" under Jimenez' own label CJMartinete Music Co. His composition titled, Tunnel of Flowers was featured in a romantic Valentine Day compilation titled, “Vivid Chocolates.”
October 14 2006 Jimenez released "El Flautista" his second Latin Jazz Production with his mentor, teacher, friend & Master Saxophonist Bobby Porcelli. Also featuring bassest, Gregg August; pianist, David Braham; trumpeter, John Walsh & Swifted timbalero also Jimenez' brother, Guillermo Jimenez. Carlos Jimenez has also recorded with Legendary flutist and Grammy Award Winner Mr. Dave Valentin.
On June 1st 2008 Jimenez came out with his new release titled Thoughts. Now he is triying to open new doors and showing his other versatilities by creating 11 original compositions with extrodinary results.This third CD titled, “THOUGHTS (Pensamientos) is a wonderful production featuring greats like; Ruben Rodriguez on bass and Vince Cherico on drums. Jimenez along with vibist, Jay Hoggard, Ruben Rodriguez & Vince Cherico will also be featured on Going Back To N.O.L.A a wonderful tribute to the Legendary pianist Hilton Ruiz produced by Aidita Ruiz/HRM Records.

Núa
Núa (Núria Martorell) nace el 1973 en Mataró, provincia de Barcelona. Sin estudios musicales de ningún tipo ni técnica vocal adquirida en escuela, Núa, aprende sola a cantar y educa su oído escuchando piezas de artistas como Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder o Michael Jackson desde la temprana edad de 6 años. A esos interpretes debe gran parte de su influéncia en el color de su voz. Interesada por grupos soul y funk de la época Motown, Núa, se nutre de todas aquellas piezas que le llegan a las manos. Nunca forma parte de ningún coro gospel, aunque le hubiera gustado. Por circumstancias, no demuestra interés por dedicarse a la música hasta que se da cuenta de que la música es lo que la hace feliz y forma parte como cantante de su primer grupo, Angelus, el 1993, donde versiona temas de Ottis Redding o Sam & Dave con también temas inéditos. En él destacamos el posteriormente reconocido guitarra Pepo López.
Acaba sus estudios superiores de la carrera de Diseño Gráfico en lo cual trabaja muchos años a la vez que actúa por las noches, aunque muy pronto se da cuenta de que ella no esta hecha para ello, sino para cantar.
Desde entonces hasta ahora, Núa ha pasado por una larga lista de grupos y orquestas. Ofrece desde el año 1995 conciertos a dúo, trío, cuarteto.... y actúa en varias provincias españolas presentando multitud de proyectos.
Pasa por orquestas de baile como la Piper y Bucker Band de la mano del maestro y amigo Javier Herrera. En ellas trabaja con músicos como Toni Moreno, Joselin Vercher, Quim Nicuesa…. ofreciendo multitud de conciertos por gran parte del territorio español y tambien a la vez integrándose en grupos míticos de los años 70, como los Cheyenes.
Después de algun tiempo entra en Doctor Brujo, posteriormente llamado Sr. Nilsson, centrándose en pop-rock internacional con medleys soul-funk. Allí conoce al guitarra Pol Sanchez, con quien colaborará posteriormente en su cuarteto de jazz eléctrico el 2009 y junto con él, inicia en el 2003 el proyecto Akord's, Funk-jazz groove!! con músicos del nuevo panorama catalán como Carles Sanz al piano, Jordi Porcar al bajo, Xavier Lopez al saxo alto, Dani Margalef al saxo tenor, Ramon Casanovas al trombón, entre otros.
En el 2005, participa con el grupo TusTouns en el Festival Anual de Rock Progresivo de Catalunya, en Barcelona, donde interpreta temas del rock sinfónico-progresivo.
Asimismo, en el 2006, entra como vocalista en la banda Group66, donde colabora con el bajista brasileño Marcelo Granja o el alemán Karl Jacobi, realizando multitud de conciertos en conocidas salas de Barcelona durante ese año.
Núa empieza a nutrirse y a centrar su interés en la música brasileña o el jazz, mientras realiza conciertos acústicos rythm&blues con el reputado Danilo Pinheiro a la guitarra o Jaume Rivera al bajo.
Recién llegada de una gira de cinco meses que la ha llevado por multitud de países europeos durante el 2008, cantando como vocalista jazz con la formación WARNING Electric Quartet, integrada por Stefano Svizzeri al piano, Fabio Tropea a la batería y Francesco Leone al contrabajo, Núa grava en directo parte de las piezas que se pueden escuchar en su web. Sus interpretaciones de piezas standards de jazz se caracterizan por su gran influencia del rythm&blues y el soul, y por un uso libre del scat.
Actualmente Núa colabora con diversas formaciones y empieza a trabajar en su primer proyecto como artista. Un disco de fusión de estilo inclasificable donde cuenta con la colaboración de gran variedad de músicos.

Ritmo Caribe was founded by world-renowned musician, composer, arranger and lead vocalist, Manny Cepeda, a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
His passion and love for music was developed as a young boy and is rooted in a rich family history of musical professionals. Performing and thrilling audiences since the age of 7, first as the “Timbales Player” in the higher acclaimed variety TV “Show de Vigoreaux” in San Juan, Puerto Rico’s Channel 4.
His musical experience of over 48 years makes him a fountain of knowledge in the Latin Music genre. He has a Bachelors and Masters degree in Music from Illinois State University and the University of Illinois, Champagne, Urbana.
He was the leader of the famous Navy Steel Band and the world traveled U.S. Navy Show Band, he toured the entire continent of South America and West and South Africa, Caribbean and Europe doing 7 world tours and 164 concerts and festivals within a 7 year period.
As a professional musician he has performed on stage with famous bands such as “Babo Jimenez, Ricardo Ray, Willie Colon and opened for headliners such as; Tito Puente, Sammy Davis Jr., Tony Vega, and Arturo Sandoval.
Manny has written and composed his own original Salsa, Merengue, Cumbias and Cuban selections for the enjoyment of Hispanic and American audiences throughout the World. This concept of music appeals to people from all walks of life but is especially suited for audiences 25 to 45 of both genders.
Manny Cepeda Orchestra was formed in April 2004. Its main purpose was to bring Manny Cepeda’s Original Salsa and Merengüe selections as well as current Classic Salsa/Merengüe and Cuban music style to Mexican as well as American audiences throughout the greater San Diego area, the different surrounding towns as well as Los Angeles and its suburbs. The concept of the music from the Caribbean, Salsa, Merengüe, and Cuban music creates a flavour of Latin music unique to this musical group.
The group functions as a mix of live performance and the highest technological aide of Sample Sequenced Music to create a total entertainment performance certain to satisfy all Latin styles of music. You’ve got to hear these four individuals make the best music in San Diego. The core of the group is made of Manny Cepeda, vocalist, composer and leader, Monica Smith, lead vocalist and Ernie Becquer, vocalist and percussionist. When a larger venue is required, there are able to increase their group by adding a two or three horn section and 1 more vocalist. The result is an amazing blend of technology and live performance unequalled in the entire West Coast.
